From the solicitation, the FY16 ARP Idea Development Award seeks applications from all areas of basic and preclinical research and strongly encourages applications that address the critical needs of the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) community in areas that include "[f]actors promoting success in key transitions to independence for individuals living with ASD."

Notice announcing the development of innovative, high-risk/high-reward research that could lead to critical discoveries or major advancements that will accelerate progress in improving outcomes for individuals with ASD. This award mechanism is designed to support innovative ideas with the potential to yield impactful data and new avenues of investigation.​

ACTION:

​Pre-applications are due June 22, 2016. Invited applications are due September 29, 2016. Approximately $3.6 million is available for six awards.
